They indicate how a person reacts to stimulus, and specially how they react under tension or pressure. They indicate how the signs express their element, meaning, the mode of behaviour they use to express the element needs. There are three qualities; Mutable, Cardinal and fixed.
MUTABLE: The most unstable and influenced by the environment. They are flexible and tolerant. They have many things going on in their heads but little to none manifesting on the tangible world. Mutable signs are prone to anxiety disorders, stress and panic attacks.
- Gemini, constantly changes their views and ideas
- Virgo, is usually dominated by their environment
- Sagittarius, continuously changes their view and approach to life
- Pisces, adapts itself superficially to its environment
CARDINAL: The most assertive and interested on making a change, they are the initiators of new things, they open the doors for everyone else. They like to be in control and achieve this by remaining one step ahead of everyone.
- Aries, seeks control and leadership in general
- Cancer, wants to control emotions, home and family
- Libra, tries to maintain control in partnerships
- Capricorn, seeks to be in control of their material environment
FIXED: The most stable and self-contained. Their strength is consistency and loyalty; they follow things through the end. They can be very slow and stubborn yet sort of passive on their approach to situations. Fixed signs are very resistant to change and to others ideas.
- Taurus, can become too slow and stuck on their way
- Scorpio, uses tardiness as a subtle way to maintain control
- Leo, enjoys making an entrance in order to stablish domination
- Aquarius, wants everything to be on their own terms.
